"Did Emmylou sing back up on Bob Dylan's Mozambique?"

My husband & I were listening to Bob Dylan’s “Desire” from 1976 and there are no liner notes detailing who played and sang on the album. Settle the bet for us – is it Emmylou Harris singing with him on "Mozambique" particularly? Here is link to more info about the album:

thanks for any help!

YES! Emmylou sings on all the songs on Desire except Hurricane..... Desire is my favorite Bob Dylan album. He and Emmylou sound great together and I always hoped they would someday make another album together.

Others can probably provide more info but FYI, there are at least four songs or versions of songs that were also recorded by Emmylou with Bob Dylan during the Desire sessions which are not on the Desire album: The version of Emmylou on "Hurricane," which was pulled because of allegedly libelous lyrics, can be found on the Dylan boot, "Odds and Ends;" the song "Golden Loom" appears on Dylan's Bootleg Series, Volumes 1-3; the song "Rita Mae," which was the B side of a single, is included on an a Japanese release called "Dylan Rock"; and "Abandoned Love" is on Dylan's album, Biograph.

Here's what Bill DeYoung wrote about the Desire sessions in his article about Emmylou entitled "Sweetheart of the Rodeo":

"Her most high–profile session work to date came just before Elite Hotel. To her astonishment, Bob Dylan came calling for another voice to add to his Desire project, released in the spring of 1976. His producer Don DeVito, was a friend of Mary Martin's.

Harris wound up singing on several tracks including "Mozambique," "One More Cup Of Coffee" and a last–minute inclusion, the 11–minute gangland dirge "Joey." Several tracks were released years later, on Dylan compilations.

She still shakes her head when she talks about her whirlwind Desire sessions. "There was no time to be nervous with Dylan," she said. "You sit next to him, you're reading the words off the page that he's looking at, you're trying to watch his mouth and watch the words at the same time, and it was one take, or two takes. So there was no time to be nervous; you just had to keep up with him."
