I guess !! who is thaT Guy wearing big Papi`s uniform ?? i watched that 14 pitch at bat ,, good stuff , all my baseball "homies" are lamenting for me and albert" winnie the pooh" holes injury .. and of course i say well , he never could pitch ! the problem is not runs scored , they have plenty o bats , sub par defense and suspect pitching at best with no bullpen , o they gave up 9 runs in the 8th tonight , hit 2 guys and walked 4 .. sweet !! but hey still fun as they are ahead of the cubs !! ..... another blown save though so tonight i watched a documentary called "mantle" it was well done ,. and don`t tell Sylvie but it made my pussy ass tear up BY THE WAY HAPPY 29TH ANNIVERSARY TO SYLVIE AND PAT QUINN ! oops (stella) yes mickey was a hero to me , and we have heard it all before , but damn , that poor sumbitch was tore up , he played so hurt .. i`m gonna write a song about him ..he deserves it...and joe dimaggio blew goats ,, what a prick he was ! one of my favorite mickey quotes was .. when asked about pete rose and his new "base hit record " , mick says "HELL, IF I HAD HIT THAT MANY SINGLES ,.. I`D WORN A DRESS TO THE BALLPARK .. so Kate have fun , the sox are rollin ..and Arlene the yankees are , well coming together is it a surprise that those teams are like # 1 and #2 ??

Wow is right !
They took 2 of 3 from the Red Sox helping out the Yankees...That was NICE !!
(And I Just Loved saying to all those visiting "Red Shirts",,,,,,"Go Yankees")
Then they had another Wow series Vs the Jays and then today WON 10-2 taking 2 of 3 from the Nationals.
Next is 3 games at home vs. the Stros then away vs the Cubbies....

Just think......
COULD BE A 3 WAY TIE IN NATIONAL LEAGUE CENTRAL BY THE ALL STAR BREAK

WOW !!!!

Enjoy the 4th Everyone

Rich ,, could even be a 4 way tie , reds, cards brewers, piratesthey are all within 3 i think some say because the division is weak , i say because the division is strong . look how they do against other divisions , they just beat each other up .. hey .. here`s an idea ,make 6 all star teams ,one from each division .. that would be fun !.. impossible of course but fun also happy independence to to all my " fellow americans " as i say with my hands in the air , a big V and peace signs on both hands !

The Franchise

Baseball fans may want to watch the new cable TV mini-series called “The Franchise“. MLB and Showtime got together to produce the new program featuring the World Series Champs 2010, San Francisco Giants. Footage from spring training and in season and afterwards shows on field and off field players in their everyday lives. Lots of cover on closer Brian Wilson, Aubrey Huff, Sanchez etc. who all appear in the first episode. Some interesting side-bits of baseball team info. Interesting first episode.

The Jays have to be able to SWEEP series with struggling teams like Seattle Mariners (which they just did today) just in order to stay at the 500 level.
One of the Jays commentators, Buck Martinez, used this line in the first game of the Seattle series. “85% of the fans don’t care if you’re in a slump……the other 15% are glad”.
Cute line. Seattle had lost 10 games straight coming into our series.

PS Craig I sometimes look up stuff, if I get a brain cramp. That’s the reason why I’d lose at baseball trivia.

Craig, maybe Colby Rasmus needs some time to adjust to the AL East pitching. He’s now facing some pretty decent arms for the almost the first time. He’s a very good CF and has hit a couple of doubles, so we’ll wait and see. He had problems with Tony La Russa???

I hear Jays may send Travis Snider down to AAA Las Vegas for the second time this year… not good…most of all we need a couple of strong starters, plus relievers, plus closer arms or we’ll be grinding it out in 4th spot forever.

The media up here is going bananas over our new 3rd base Brett Lawrie (from Brewers) call-up who will replace Bautista on 3rd perhaps even tonight. Bautista will go back to RF.

I think I have to get a (different) life-- I just find it too depressing when Mo blows a save and the Yanks then lose the game in the bottom of the 10th, the day after CC loses his 4th game this season to the Saux.... (for that I had to stay up so late?)
