Jo Jo Reyes is a Jays starter and he missed a chance last night to break a MLB record by going 29 starts without a win. He was 0 and 28 going into last night‘s game. And he’s all ours. Suck it up, and no you can’t have him because, incredibly, he beat the Cleveland Indians. The win means that Reyes will share his weird and unlucky claim to fame with Matt Keough, who went 28 starts without a win with the Oakland A's in 1979.
I love baseball. My uncle took me to my first AAA game when I was 7 years old. We had a semi-pro team called the Toronto Maple Leafs that folded in 1967.

My man Tek just hit a homerun - I too love baseball, especially the Red Sox. I was 5 years old the first time I went to Fenway Park with my father.

Arlene is making it hard to be a good Yankee hater. How can I want her team to do badly? Such a conundrum.

Kate , that is no problem for me ..my best friend"baseball buddy " is a freaking cubs fan .i love him dearly but would enjoy his team never , ever winning even one game and he feels the same. with me .someonelike Arlene ,obviously a friend.but i have never met her so ,i can`t feel the same and want her to lose every game...i do find now that darth vader has died , i don`t "hate " them like i used to ... but then i see that rat a rod.. now theres somebody everyone can hate , what an arrogant fuck ....i think he and barry bonds should spend eternity together m just give them a couple of mirrors and they`ll be happy ! oh. and throw le bron james and kobe bryant in there with them !! ..GO CANUCKS !!!

Speaking of favorite players, Jacoby Ellsbury I've liked from day 1. He was plagued by broken ribs last year, but he's come back full strength this year and he makes the Red Sox a stealing team, which they've rarely been.

A frustrating evening.... Actually, the truth is that if the Yankees are going to make the playoffs, I root for the Red Sox to win and make them also because for me, there's nothing more enjoyable (or exquisitely painful) than watching the Yanks and Bosox compete in the ALCS. By rooting for the Red Sox to make the playoffs, I risk being devasted by the results, but this is a classic example of no risk, no reward.
