So Kate, still not sick of Bobby V yet? Way to go-- after winning three in a row, telling the media that Youk isn't as physically or emotionally invested as he'd been in the past? What's the matter, Bobby? Because your team is starting to turn it around, you're not getting enough attention for yourself? I love how Pedroia came to the defense of his teammate. Now THAT'S a leader. And speaking of leaders, it's great to see the 37 year old Captain looking 27 again, at least for the time being...

Arlene as i have stated many times in the past i really like derek jeter , and man he is ripping the cover off the ball, playing like a kid needing to ink a new contract ..love that kind of player ,playing for pride and self respect !!I could not believe valentine self destructed so early and in Boston you fart wrong in the clubhouse and it`s news ,not much unlike yew nork ! .. which by the way has already been on the tele here 3 times in 10 games with more next weekend ...i don`t blame fox or espn , gotta play what sells , who wants to watch a game between the orioles and royals ?? well, besides me ?but of course not my #1 preference of course every cardinal game should be nationally televised , that should be a perk to winning the world series , the following year every game televised and for free not that pay per view stuff ..baseball should be free for every american ... Arlene , to me pedroia coming out like that was like .. hey bobby fuck you and the horse you rode in on ..lines have been drawn ,i can`t see him making it to the all star break ..unless the sox are solidly in 1st ee the cards , at least as of sunday lead baseball in batting avg, runs scored ,slugging pct and home runs ...Albert who ??

I know this won't mean much to most of you and it may sound a bit creepy but I just had a cool experience. Babe Ruth's will was stolen from the NY County Surrogate's Court years and years ago. A memorabilia dealer was putting it up for auction so my office went in to stop the sale and return it to the State of New York. (All signed will are retained in Surrogate's Court after an estate is probated. ) We just recovered it and I was just gently holding and reading his original signed last will and testament-- he was so weak when it was executed that he had trouble with his signature. Anyway... if you're a Yankee fan, it's like touching a piece of history.

Kate, maybe you're not all that impressed but wouldn't you get a kick out of seeing and reading Ted Williams' original will?

Arlene, I'd be delighted with Babe Ruth's. What an incredible find.

The Red Sox are not a lot of fun so far. It sounds like the clubhouse is still having personal problems and it's showing up on the field. Perhaps Tito and Theo weren't the problem. Bobby V is interesting. Before Tito, I was used to not liking the managers - Grady little, Jimy Williams, so while this is an adjustment, it's one that's familiar to me. I don't see us winning the WS this year.

Arlene -
I don't care who you are, I believe any baseball fan would have gotten a thrill from the laying of hands on such a personal, historical document such as Babe's will.

My joy this weekend might have been complete had I not thought of the frustration that Kate may have experienced....

And Craig, the Cards are looking good. As for Albert.... His deal with the Angels may wind up being in the A-Rod catagory. Maybe not, but he sure looks overpriced....

I don't think the Red Sox are aware that baseball season has started. That they lost a 9 to nothing lead - words fail me.
