Emmylou will perform at a benefit concert for Rocket Dog Rescue at Lagunitas Brewing Co.
in Petaluma, CA on July 3, 2012 at 7PM

Well, it's come down to the very day of and I finally have to admit to myself that I won't be able to make this wonderful event. Between it being almost the 4th, my daughter's summer camp, and the fact that I'd have to drive through the Bay Area to get there, it's just not going to work out. Too bad. it looks fun fun fun. Plus, I wanted to bring my feisty chihuahua Rocket so that Pali,( the Emmylou, of Rocket Dog Rescue), could see how well he's doing. She matched us up on a SF street 7 or so years ago - and for the most part it's been a very happy pairing. And of course I wanted to hear Emmylou's lovely voice once again. Another time...sigh! The good news is it appears to be a sold out show. Yeah! Hope everyone has a wonderful time and that lots of matches are made and lots of money raised.

Happy, except perhaps for the time she almost broke skin on my hand and nipped my heels that first time I met her in Telluride very shortly after she became part of your family! (Smile)

Oh yes, I remember that. Poor Rocket thought everyone he met was "the man" come to take him back to death row. Still does to a certain degree, especially when it comes time to visit the veterinarian's office. Poor guy. But the good news is that once he meets you and likes you, you're his friend for life. He really is a sweetie, quirky though. lol!
