Check out this podcast of an acoustic concert recorded February 15, 1979 with "only" Emmylou (acoustic guitar) and Ricky Skaggs (mandolin and fiddle) at the Orcas Center on San Juan Islands off of Seattle. During the show, Emmylou says it was the first time she ever sang some of these songs in public. The podcast is a mono cassette recording but all things considered, the sound quality isn't too bad. (This podcast is also available on iTunes but for some reason I couldn't download it into my iPod.)

Great find! Thanks, Arlene. I saw her a few times in the late 70s, early 80s, but I never remember her talking between songs. This was a treat, and I especially love that she did Hickory Wind--because it was time, I guess.
